03 - The Kuiper Belt

Sedna never comes close enough to be affected by the Sun, but it never goes far enough away to be affected by other stars, which is the case with comets that have been observed in the Kuiper Belt.

The Kuiper Belt is a disk-shaped region between Neptune and Pluto, between 30 and 50 AU from the Sun. It contains many small icy bodies and is considered to be the source of short-period comets.
