11 - The Monkey VII

In an attempt to find an Asian cast in Ireland, I put up advertisements in the local acting schools and found a girl called Hou Wan Ling, or 'Dodo' - a professional radio and television presenter and singer from Dalian in northern China, who had just moved to Ireland.

We started to work together at building up contacts with Chinese producers that she had worked with.

As part of this, we set up the first Chinese language radio programme in Ireland - called simply 'Dodotime' - on Anna Livia radio in Dublin. 'Dodotime' started broadcasting in 2000.
